Due to the ongoing Covid-19 situation we are not currently able to provide any physical inter or county school games events.
Although no physical events will be taking place, our team of School Games Organisers have been working tirelessly to create a series of brand new 'Virtual Competitions' available for all students to take part in to remain active, continue competing and keep smiling!
If you are looking for more ways to keep children active whilst at home then take a look at Active Dorset's online directory of activity here.
We have purchased software called Koboca to help support some of the Dorset School Games virtual competitions and events.
This is free for all Dorset School Games Schools to use. Select your school games area in the partnership box and then enter ACTIVE DORSET in the discount box.
Please register before the end of the Autumn term and in January we will launch some virtual competitions and activities using the new software.
If you have any questions about Koboca please contact your School Games Organiser or contact us at email@example.com.
Virtually Boccia Challenge
This challenge replaces our usual National School Competition due to the Covid-19 restrictions.
This is a series of skill-based challenges, with each student completing the challenge, contributing to their school or college score. There will be three rounds, with each round consisting of four activities. If you do not have boccia equipment, then don't panic. The activities can be completed using other PE or home equipment (i.e. tennis balls, bean bags, socks).
- 1st Round – 11th January – 26th February
- 2nd Round – 8th March – 30th April (longer due to Easter holiday)
- 3rd Round – 10th May – 25th June
The Virtually Boccia Challenge is free for schools and colleges to access.
The deadline for schools and colleges to signup is 3pm on Friday 27th November.
