Special Olympics provides year round opportunities for people with learning disabilities of all ability levels, aged 8 upwards, to train and compete in a number of sports. The organisation aims to improve physical fitness, core skills in balance, flexibility, co-ordination and agility, develop motor, cognitive and technical skills and improve social and emotional development
Special Olympics Bournemouth & District has been running since 1997 and everyone has developed and progressed with our training. Current sports are athletics, badminton, football, sailing, swimming, table tennis and tennis. Besides the fun training, various competition routes are available regionally, nationally and even internationally.
