Early Morning Programme

Arrival and Registration

Keynote Speaker: Dr William Bird MBE

Primary/Secondary Networking

Headteacher/Governor Networking

A chance for primary and secondary colleagues to hear from all the exhibitors present, in a '60 second' networking opportunity. A great way to find out who to meet and speak to from the beginning of the day.

An opportunity for Headteachers, Governors and Senior Leaders to have a private audience with Dr William Bird MBE and Public Health Dorset. Hear more about Beat the Street coming to Dorset this autumn. Learn about the Public Health Dorset opportunity to design active health and well-being solutions, as a whole school approach, in your school.

Mid-morning Programme

Dr Jo Harris joins us from Loughborough University to share insight from her latest book on 'Promoting Healthy Active Lifestyles in Schools' and to introduce the first of two panels of guest speakers. The first panel includes Jo Colin, Programme Lead for the Active Lives Survey from Sport England; and, Ali Oliver, the CEO of the Youth Sport Trust (YST). Dr Jo Harris will welcome Q&A from the audience.

Dr Jo Harris will award our first 'Our School Can Award' to a Dorset school for achieving their pledge to increase healthy, active choices for the children in their school. She will then introduce the second panel of guest speakers. This panel includes Rachel Partridge, Assistant Director of Public Health Dorset; Martin McLeman, who is both Chair of Dorset's Alliance Group for PE and School Sport and Headteacher of Queen Elizabeth School; and Jo Wilson, Head of Programmes for Public Health Dorset. Dr Jo Harris will welcome Q&A from the audience.
