Redlands is a leisure and community park in Weymouth, offering a community cafe and a range of facilities to help the people of Weymouth become more active. During the operational changeover period from Weymouth College, we have worked closely with the local clubs, community, College and Dorset Council and now look forward to continuing with this work as we look to adopt the same operating model that has proved so successful with Slades Park.

The future of Redlands Leisure and Community Park is an exciting one, as we plan to develop some key areas of the site over the coming months.

The first was the development of the online booking facility which is already live, meaning everyone can register and book facilities remotely. The online booking system can be accessed here.

As we look to adopt a similar model to Slades Park, we will look to invest and develop the following areas:

• Create a new catering facility and café in the function room, offering a selection of hot/cold drinks and snacks
• Create an indoor soft play area for children
• New lighting and flooring upgrades in the main sports hall
• Potential development of the current football pitches
• Introduction of a dog walking area
