Mind’s Mental Health in Physical Activity Survey

Mind have launched a Mental Health in Physical Activity Survey for Grassroots sport and physical activity organisations who work at a county to national level in England and Wales. This includes: NGBs, Active Partnerships, leisure operators, professional sport club trusts and foundations, and national organisations and charities. This survey isn't appropriate for sports clubs and physical activity providers at a local level.

The aim to the survey is to take stock of mental health in sport and physical activity so Mind can improve the support they provide the sector.

What outcomes are Mind looking to achieve through the survey?

  • To understand where organisations are in their 'mental health journey'. Mind would like to hear from all organisations, including those who may not have worked on mental health previously.
  • To identify organisations who need additional mental health support. There are no right or wrong answers so Mind urge organisations to be open and honest about their mental health journey in the survey so they can identify those who may need additional support.
  • To provide a benchmark so Mind can measure the sector's mental health progress in the future and champion the role it can play for delivering mental health outcomes.

The survey closes on the 21st April and can be found here: http://bit.ly/MentalHealthInPhysicalActivtySurvey.
