The Government released full details of the 2019-20 guidance for the PE and School Sport Premium in October 2019, and it contains excellent ideas for uses of the funding.

It is worth noting that there are specific conditions of the grant for all schools – with slight differences between academies/free schools and local authority/maintained schools.

It is advisable to share this information with school finance officers. Schools should expect the second and final payment of the PESS Premium funding on the 1^st May 2020.
