Firmitude is a community group for women to engage in active play for a bout of 'incidental fitness'

Firmitude have received Satellite Club National Lottery funding from Active Dorset and they have already attracted more than 40 females into football-related physical activity, creating volunteering opportunities for several females in the process.

Their Incidental fitness campaign is a series of fun, appealing, and energetic mini-games that distract from the overall effort. New participants are giving glowing testimonies to the work of the Firmitude team: "[I] had a fab first session, would definitely recommend it. As a follower of football but not a player I found it really enjoyable to finally give it a go. Always scary to try something new but such a great feeling when you do. Lots of positives, burnt a load of calories, got outdoors and met friendly new people".
