Families are invited to join The Great Big Family Health Walk in Gillingham at 2pm on Thursday 30thMay. No need to book, just turn up for this free event led by trained local volunteer Walk Leaders.
The walk starts and finishes at the Town Meadow (opposite the High Street Car Park) and will include a 'treasure hunt' with painted rocks hidden along the route for little ones to find plus 'bug hunting' with Dorset Council's Countryside Ranger Team. The route is buggy and wheelchair-friendly and everyone, young and old, is welcome to come along and join in the fun!
The North Dorset Walking For Health scheme offers free weekly health walks in Sturminster, Shaftesbury, Gillingham, Blandford and Sherborne and is always keen to hear from anyone interested in training as a volunteer Walk Leader.
