New 'Slades Pavilion' due for arrival

Active Dorset CIO are currently developing the physical activity offerings at Slades Farm, working closely alongside Bournemouth Borough Council. The sports pavilion that had been a target for vandalism has been knocked down and a new modular building, Slades Pavilion, will arrive at the park Friday 15thJune.

Slades Pavilion, which is scheduled to open to the public Autumn 2018 following an internal fit out, will be run by Active Dorset and will have a community space, refreshments and toilet facilities, and will welcome all members of the community to use when visiting the park.

The following parking restrictions will take effect from Friday 15th June - Monday 18th June 2018:

We understand that from 07:00 on Friday 15th:

  • No parking will be allowed in Slades Farm Road
  • No parking will be allowed in Ensbury Avenue between the junction with Slades Farm Road and the entrance to the Bournemouth Learning Centre
  • No parking will be available in Slades Farm car park. Season ticket holders will need to vacate by 06:00.

On Saturday 16th:

  • No parking will be allowed in Slades Farm Road
  • No parking will be allowed in Ensbury Avenue between the junction with Slades Farm Road and the entrance to the Bournemouth Learning Centre
  • No parking will be available in Slades Farm car park

On Sunday 17th (or Monday 18th In the case of severe delays):

  • We expect all large vehicle manoeuvres to be completed and the parking restrictions to be lifted but in case of delay the parking order will remain in force.
  • Residents and users will see notices being removed which will indicate that parking is allowed.

We greatly appreciate your support during these unavoidable restrictions.

The improvements to Slades Farm will provide local residents and users with greatly enhanced facilities and we hope that the short inconvenience and disruption will be accepted as part of that improvement process.
