In July there is a free 'have a go' event on Weymouth beach where you can try lots of different types of activities without the pressure and cost of joining a club, just come along and have a laugh with your friends and family.
You don't have to book, just turn up and take part.
During the weekend of 23 and 24 July you can try lots of different activities including volleyball, rounders, table tennis, Boccia and even some circus skills.
There is also a chance to try some watersports and attempt a climbing wall for a small charge.
With people on hand to help kick start the new you this festival could be a game changer for you.
Weymouth County Councillor David Harris and Sports' Champion, said:
"I am delighted that this very successful event is continuing and I know from past years how much enjoyment people have taking part in something that is fun.
"I can thoroughly recommend it for everyone and many previous participants have continued with a new activity as a result."
The 'have a go' weekend is part of a two-week long sports and wellbeing festival that is funded by 'Inspired by 2012' Health and Wellbeing Legacy Fund. It is organised in partnership by Dorset County Council and Weymouth and Portland Borough Council. The aim of the festival is to inspire people of all ages towards a healthier lifestyle.
