The new Moors Valley Parkrun has got off to an outstanding start with a massive 404 runners on November 7th, which was the second best inaugural event in Parkrun's history. And this was despite the horrible wet weather on the weekend!
Week 2 had 186 runners and week 3 had 205. In such a short time Moors Valley has seen incredible results with 609 different runners, 71 different athletics clubs represented and 108 people achieving personal best times.
Facebook page comments have been really positive with everyone saying how much they love the park and the course and have recommended it to their friends. It is even gaining recognition on a national scale having been discussed on the Facebook page "Running the World" and was also discussed on Marathon Talk, a national podcast that is for runners.
The message is that Moors Valley is a wonderful family parkrun and specific comments have praised the volunteers for their support, cheering and encouragement. So far the course records stand at 17:14 for males and 20:15 for females. Think you can beat them? Come and have a go at Dorset's latest Parkrun
