This role will have responsibility for improving participation and performance within a range of sports, alongside enhancing participation and provision across the academy within enrichment. You'll work closely with the Head of PE to ensure enrichment opportunities are promoted, delivered, reported and organised to a high standard. Based in Corby, Lodge Park Academy has access to a range of facilities including a full size 3G pitch, Netball courts and sports hall, along with a track record in delivering un-rivalled sports enrichment in the local area, having been named sports school of the year three times.

About School Sport Coach and Enrichment Officer

Key Responsibilities

1 Increase participation in a range of sports across all year groups and target groups of students.

2 Deliver sessions throughout the week before, during and after school to enhance performance and increase participation.

3 Develop Lodge Park Academy sports teams to enter local, regional and national team competitions.

4 Work with the Head of PE to effectively plan a programme of opportunities across the year

5 Lead primary outreach to local primary schools – Rockingham and Bringhurst Primary.

6 Promote the enrichment programme along with other sports enrichment, via Social media, press releases and regular update / reports to the Principal.

7 In collaboration with Head of PE and any relevant specialist coaches, develop an individual Academy action plan to deliver the Trust's Sports Enrichment Strategy and academy ambitions.

8 Support the Head of PE in delivering the school's action plan - increasing sports participation and sporting competitiveness at the academy.

9 To support the delivery of enrichment clubs and fixtures provided by the PE department.

10 Collate and report attendance at enrichment opportunities across the school that will contribute to the monitoring and evaluation of the Sports Enrichment Programme.

11 Complete termly reporting requirements on the attendance, impact and promotion of the enrichment programme.

12 Build close working relationships with local clubs and promote to pupils to attend outside of school time.

13 Support DRET wide events where required, including our annual Winter and Summer Cup, and run and promote other Trust wide programmes and initiatives within Lodge Park Academy.

14 Attend DRET and school events with pupils including events, trips, tours, talent days and fixtures

15 Organise and promote clubs, fixtures, trips and other opportunities offered to pupils.

16 Be an integral part of the PE department play a positive role in any department meetings, discussion, delivery, and planning.
