We are looking to recruit a Public Health Information and Evidence Analyst to join a friendly, welcoming and vibrant Public Health team. The post will fulfil a vital contribution to the vision of Somerset’s Health and Wellbeing Strategy through analysis that enables informed and evidenced based decision-making. The Analyst will work autonomously under the direction and with support of the Public Health Specialist – Epidemiologist.

About Public Health Information and Evidence Analyst

The role will have an emphasis on promoting the use of public health evaluation and evidencing the health and wellbeing needs of Somerset's population. You will: maintain and develop data flows with partners provide analysis and reports to support public health commissioners. respond to ad-hoc requests for public health datamaintain and update public health and reference databases The tasks will require a keen understanding of population health statistics, information governance, relational databases, critical appraisal skills, literature review and excellent communication and networking capability.
