About Places to Ride BMX Track Improvement Scheme

BMX Racing is a facility-dependent discipline which makes growing the sport a challenge. The launch of the scheme coincides with the publication of a new design guidance note for BMX Racing-Tracks and aims to:

  • Support safety improvements and enhance the experience of riders.
  • Contribute to the sustainability of the facility by addressing major repair / lifecycle investment requirements and supporting improved environmental sustainability via energy saving initiatives.

The primary focus is to improve existing BMX tracks that are focused on club, coaching and competition opportunities. This fund is not intended to upgrade existing provision to National or International standards, as that would be out with the remit of the Places to Ride Programme.

Your completed application form (which can be obtained by emailing the Places to Ride team: placestoride@britishcycling.org.uk) must be returned to us by noon on 11 May 2022.
