The Daily Mile Teach Meet - Take 3!

The Daily Mile is a means for regular, physical activity for primary school children "to improve the physical, social, emotional and mental health and wellbeing of everyone – regardless of age, ability or environment".

If you are interested in in initiating this in your school, please attend our Teach Meet on the 31st January 2019 with Dr Sarah Kay, GP Public Health Fellow and Annie Hargreaves from Active Dorset. Local schools will be sharing their experiences so there will be an opportunity to network, hear and share best practice!

If you have secondary colleagues who may be interested in the Daily Mile initiative, the Daily Mile Foundation has extended its reach and launched Fit for Life in secondary schools. This initiative is to inspire every young person in secondary education and every adult in the wider community, to engage in a regular daily mile too! Feel free to invite your middle school and colleagues to attend too.

If you are unable to attend on this date, but are very interested in beginning The Daily Mile, please feel free to contact Sarah on sarahkay2@nhs.net or Annie Hargreaves on ahargreaves@activedorset.org directly.
