
Since the summer of 2021, Active Lincolnshire have been working closely with Active Dorset in order to share learning and develop our ability to work in the Health and Care sector.
In this developing podcast series, Matt Evans (Active Lincolnshire) talks with Charlie Coward (Active Dorset) about what they have both learnt and experienced through working in the system. Charlie has been working in this way for several years whereas Matt is only in his first year.
This podcast is designed to help Active Partnership staff build confidence in their work to embed physical activity in health and care pathways as the new ICS structures emerge.

Episode 1: Back by popular demand, Charlie and Matt are back with Season 2! This episode will focus on social prescribing, aimed at inspiring colleagues to work with their local social prescribing colleagues to embed physical activity. Charlie and Matt are joined by Liza Jarvis, Senior Program Manager for Social Prescribing at NHS England and National Lead CYP social Prescribing at Street Games UK, to talk about the opportunities there are to work with local social prescribing services, the advancements in social prescribing, the challenges for social prescribing and what's happening nationally.
Episode 2: Listen now to the latest episode of our podcast series a Tale of Two Counties, all about connecting physical activity to local health systems. This month Matt and Charlie are chatting about Investment and Transformation.
Episode 3: Charlie and Matt are joined by Dr. Ollie Hart, clinical director for the local primary care network, Heeley Plus, covering 42000 patients. Ollie is also a Director for Peak Health Coaching a company that specialises in health coaching training and organisational development for person centred care. Dr Ollie, speaks about how health coaching can help with physical activity.

Episode 5 - Special guest Sue Jarvis (Maternity and Neonatal Programme Manger, NHS Lincolnshire ICB) joins Charlie and Matt to talk about the ongoing work in Lincolnshire to connect Physical Activity to Maternity Services.
Episode 6 - The final podcast of the series, Matthew and Charlie talk about how we measure, evaluate and learn from our work in health. They are joined by Rebecca O'Connor from ROC Research Consultancy Ltd who shares how she's been helping Active Lincolnshire and their partners develop their approach to measurement and learning.
Episode 7 - For this episode Tom Burton (Sport England) and Annie Holden (Active Partnerships National Team) join Charlie and Matt for a Christmas chat about how the physical activity sector is connecting with the health system nationally. They share their experiences and ongoing challenges and make their new year's resolutions for this type of work. Tom refers to Uniting the Movement as the partners' shared vision.
