Sportivate Applications Welcomed

Active Dorset have announced a deadline for year two sportivate applications of Friday 20th January 2012, at 5pm.

Sportivate is part of the mass participation legacy programme called Places, People, Play aimed at establishing a lasting legacy from the 2012 Olympics. The Sportivate initiative is aimed at engaging with young people aged 14 to 25 who wouldn’t normally participate in sport and physical activity.

Active Dorset are attempting to spread the funding as equally as possible across the county and after assessing our year one projects, the following areas are a priority: -

• Activity specifically targeted at those aged 19 to 25
• Activity in East Dorset, North Dorset, Christchurch, Purbeck & Poole.
• Disability Projects

Applications that do not fit the above criteria will still be considered in the usual process.
