Active Lives Survey for Children and Young People

120 schools in Dorset have been selected to participate in the Active Lives Survey across 2017-18, where 40 schools will be invited to participate each term.

Sport England is collating information on the types and quantity of activity that children aged 5-16 engage in. Their research is supported by the Department for Education, the Department for Health and the Department for Culture, Media and Sport.

Why participate in the Survey? Sport England will provide each school with a bespoke report outlining their results from the survey which will cover measures of children's activity levels, physical literacy, swimming proficiency, well-being, self-efficacy and levels of social trust. Schools will also receive £100+ to thank them for their involvement in this survey.
