Coaching Courses & Workshops

Active Dorset's Coach Education Programme includes developmental courses for existing qualified coaches, new coaches and teachers and teaching assistants. It also has generic courses for deliverers seeking to meet minimum stands in Safeguarding and First Aid.

1st 4 Sport Level 1 Handball Coaching Award

Date: Sat, 24 Jun 2017 (11:00 - 17:00) + More Dates

Location: Roy Moore Sports Hall, Harewood College, Harewood Avenue, Bournemouth, Dorset, BH7 6NZ

The two-day course is for people aged 16 and over who are: active within a community club environment and, assisting, or seeking to assist, active and more qualified coaches.

1st4sport Level 2 Award in Multi-Skills Development in Sport

Location: Thames Valley Athletics Centre, Pocock Lane, Eton, Berkshire, SL4 6HN

This qualification is designed to provide benefit to you through the skills and knowledge required to enable you to understand participants and their needs, develop your knowledge of multi-skills development in sport and prepares you to demonstrate practical coaching skills in the context of the fundamentals of movement, fundamental movement skills and fundamental sports skills.

Cancer Research UK Innovation Workshop

Cancer Research UK’s Innovation Workshops are a unique approach to funding population research at CRUK - over three days, participants will explore cancer challenges, build new collaborations and think outside the box to develop a pitch for new innovative research ideas that are potentially funded on the spot. Successful teams are awarded up to £20,000 seed-funding to conduct pilot and feasibility work for 12 months.

Real PE - Day 2 Course

Inset led by Create Development where PE Coordinators already familiar with Real PE, introduce the new approach to their own staff and colleagues.

Available to any school that has already attended a free Real PE - Day 1 course.

Club Matters: Club Experience for Young People
