Coaching Courses & Workshops

Active Dorset's Coach Education Programme includes developmental courses for existing qualified coaches, new coaches and teachers and teaching assistants. It also has generic courses for deliverers seeking to meet minimum stands in Safeguarding and First Aid.

Coaching Masterclass with Nick Drane

Nick Drane (Ipswich Basketball Academy – Director & Head Coach and Ipswich Basketball Club - Head Coach) will be leading a coaching workshop with opportunities to discuss coaching techniques and a question and answer session. This is open to coaches from all sports.

This is a one-off workshop in association with Sport England & Club Matters specifically aimed at assisting deliverers across the country. It'll help you to better understand your participants and how to deliver a great experience for them.

Time to Listen is a 3-hour workshop for Club Welfare Officers (CWO). CWOs must have attended a Safeguarding and Protecting Children workshop previously and will need to bring their own reporting procedures to the workshop

scUK Behaviour Change Workshop

How do we, as people, help an individual to make that change? How do we encourage them to develop and maintain the motivation to stay in our sport or to stay active...for life?

Every coach needs to be a good people person, and learning behaviour change tactics will help you significantly hone those softer skills.
