Active Dorset believes in the importance of coaching to sporting participation and performance outcomes and has a long standing commitment to supporting the development of coaches and coaching. We are committed to raising standards in sport, to improving access and equity in sport, and highlighting the contribution sport can make to a range of wider social outcomes.
Active Dorset is a powerful delivery mechanism that has the potential to be used to deliver a wide range of sporting, economic and social outcomes and will collaborate with local and national agencies to achieve this.
We currently employ a coaching development manager as part of our core team. We work closely with Sports Coach UK and Sport England to support the National Governing Bodies with the implementation of the UK Coaching Framework.
iCoach is part of a nationally developed coach management system that extends the support Active Dorset provides to coaches across Dorset. It also acts as our course booking system
